This Week's Favorite
I tend to be lactose-sensitive. I am not totally allergic, but my stomach does react to larger doses of dairy. I think many people have discovered that they react similarly, judging from the all the new lactose-free products and options that are finally available on the Danish market.
On a personal note, I still think it's ridiculous that we have to pay more than twice the amount for a liter of lactose-free milk, but well, I'd rather pay a bit more and feel better.
On a happier note, I've just recently discovered this delicious and low-calorie coconut milk from Alpro that I am happy to pay extra for. I found it in Bilka and it was on offer this week: 2 liters for 28 kr. It tastes great and adds an exotic flavor to your oatmeal, coffee, smoothies and more.
It's not 100% coconut milk, it also contains some rice milk but the coconut milk is the more dominant flavor. It's important to note that it may contain traces of nuts, in case you have a nut allergy.
1 glass (approx. 200 ml) of this milk contains 40 calories, has no-added sugars and is a good source of vitamin B12, D and Calcium.
I'm definitely going to be stocking up on this healthy alternative!
Have you tried it? What did you think?
