Bounty Treats

Happy Halloween friends!! :) 

 

In the spirit of All Hallows Eve, I made these delicious treats that did just the trick. ;) They were super easy and quick to make. Plus they were an instant hit here at home, so I just had to share.

 

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Halloween all around the world! 

 

Ingredients

 

  • 60 gr unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 150 gr oats

  • 1 tbs coconut oil

  • 1 scoop Caribbean Choko protein powder from Bodylab

  • 4 tbs Sukrin Gold (or brown sugar or alternative)

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 100 gr extra dark chocolate

 

Method

 

  • Prepare a tray lined with parchment paper.

  • In a medium bowl, combine the coconut flakes with the oats and Sukrin Gold till they are well mixed together.

  • Add the coconut oil and then gradually add the coconut milk, mixing either with a wooden spoon or with your hand. When you feel the mixture is sticky enough to start rolling small balls with your hands, don't add any more coconut milk

  • Roll into small balls (I made mine approximately 1" in diameter) and place on the tray. Put the tray in the freezer while you prepare the melted chocolate. I don't have a microwave so I melt my chocolate au bain marie.  

  • Once you've melted the dark chocolate, fetch the tray from the freeze and using both a spoon and a fork, carefully dip the treats and roll with in the melted chocolate one by one.

  • Place the treats back on the tray and put them back in the freezer for 15 - 20 min before serving.

  • Enjoy :)
