I am so proud to say that I am now an officially sponsored Target PowerGym athlete.
As many of you know, I've been training with Herman Mohr Hermansen from Mohr Results for the passed 2 weeks. He's the owner of Target PowerGym, a personal trainer and an active powerlifter. I wrote more in detail about him in my previous post.
During these 2 weeks I've shared snippets and photos from our workouts on my instagram: myworkout_yvonne and my Snapchat: yalonso.
During these 2 weeks I've been following Herman's training and diet program. Despite being in a calorie deficit, I feel fantastic! I have energy for my heavy lifts and sprints with my beloved prowler (haha).
As for having a trainer for the first time, all I can say is that is it super motivating and I can highly recommend getting a trainer to reach your goals. Even if you are an experienced gym-junkie, like myself, it is an awesome feeling to have a professional there to help push you further and watch your form at all times.
I have been a trainer for 9 years and I have trained myself up to my last 3 bikini fitness competitions - so it's safe to say that I am perfectly capable of getting myself to the gym and I can be very disciplined. Even so I can feel that I give an extra 20% when I train with Herman because I know that he is there to guide and assist me in all my heavy lifts. I trust his expert eye and I know he'd never allow me to do anything that would injure me.
So if you haven't had a trainer before and you have some fitness goals you'd like to achieve, then get yourself a trainer! Your body and health will thank you. I can highly recommend Herman as a trainer - he's a great guy and an amazing trainer with many years of experience and results.
I am so happy about my sponsorship with Target PowerGym and I intend on giving 110% during these next 12 weeks till my next competition.
I really enjoy training myself and my clients at Target PowerGym. If you live in or close to Amager, you should definitely pay Target PowerGym a visit.
At first it may seem a bit intimidating with the music blaring and lots of muscular people doing their thing, but if you give it a chance, you'll inevitably pick up the sense of camaraderie that makes this place unique.
Everyone that trains there is kind and respectful to each other and everyone is there to do one thing: train hard. It's a very motivating and inspiring environment to train in. I love it! But don't take my word for it, come check it out for yourself! :-)
