I am so excited about this new product from Bodylab! I just tried it this morning and I loved it so much that I had to blog about it ASAP!
This High Protein Pancake Mix is currently available in Buttermilk and Chocolate Chip flavor. I tried the Chocolate Chip flavor this morning and it was both super easy to make and delicious. All you have to do is add 2 scoops of the pancake mix to your regular protein shaker, add 100 ml of water, shake it and voilá! Your pancake batter is ready to be made in on a pan with medium-heat.
One serving of 2 scoops is 45 gr and only 163 calories! There is no added sugar, it's low in fat and contains 14 gr of protein - making it a great low calorie, high protein meal or snack. You can either make one big crepe-like pancake or 2 regular-sized pancakes with the one serving. It takes 40 seconds to a minute on each side to cook the pancakes through, so you can literally whip these up in under 5 minutes if you are on a tight schedule.
When it comes to my pancakes, I go the whole 9 yards. However I am on a comp prep diet, so I have to be watchful of my calorie and macro intake.
So for a low-calorie but deliciously fresh for my pancakes, I mixed my natural skyr yoghurt with a few Bodylab Stevia Zero Drops in chocolate flavor and smeared it in between and on top of my pancakes.

I also love my peanut butter so I used Bodylab's new Powdered Peanut Butter which is a dehydrated peanut butter powder that mixes well with water and gives you a creamy, tasty peanut butter containing only a third of the fat and calories of real peanut butter.
Why not just eat regular peanut butter? Well I do, but when I'm on a calorie restricted diet, then I can only eat a small amount of natural peanut butter per day unfortunately. So using powdered peanut butter is a great way of satisfying my peanut butter craving and eating a larger amount without over-eating on fat or calories. This is also great alternative for any other peanut butter addict watching their overall health & weight.
So I piled the peanut butter on top of my pancakes, added fresh blueberries and some Bodylab Zero Chocolate Topping .. and YUM!! Breakfast was deliciously and healthily served!
